child care post

How could a child-care offer free services using private, not government money?

- No grants from the government - No non-profit grants What type of businesses would gain from financial paying for a childcare, so that kids could go for free. Tip: Think Gmail. This is offered for free, because of the ads that are sold. Think Firefox, its given away for free, it gets a percent on search revenue. I thought of having the kids make a product to sell online to subsidize the cost, but wanted to get better ideas.

  1. Let me get this straight. You want to run a child care facility, no charge to the parents but use the kids to generate money to pay for it. Would the parents know you are using child labor to pay for your operations?

Do you have any clue what it costs to operate such a business? The liability insurence by itself is huge, plus you have all the licenses to qualify and pay for. The building/house has to be fitted with all the safety features such as fire supression systems, safe windows & doors, heating and cooling, floors and furniture that can be sterilized. Your personel have to be licensed also. And paid a wage.

Your idea might work if you could put little signs advertising local businesses on the kids t-shirts and take them out for walks around town. Just be sure you don't have little Susie wearing a shirt advertising Joe's Bar & Pool Room.

If you could get into a building where all the parents worked, you might have a chance of getting their employer to chip in.

Before you start worrying about how to pay for it, you had better find out how much it will cost.

Big bucks needed for the start-up. Do you have it?
