How do I go about opening my very own Day Care Center?

I am certified in child care training. I have experience from the infants to the afterschoolers. Now, I would like to explore how I could open my own Center.

1. Your first step should be getting incorporated. It's for tax purposes. The next is to start looking for a site! You will want to learn your licensing standards while looking for a site. This will help you to see how many sq. ft. per child you need and to know how many kids you need to turn a profit. Once you find a site, your licensing specialist will need to look at it and tell you what you need to change!

   It's a long hard process, unless you find one for sale. Currently mine is ;-) in Central Arkansas ... because you have to be able to deal with parents ... and that is the hardest part of the job! GOOD LUCK!
