How do I start a at home daycare in California?
I am an expecting mother. My boyfriends sister and I are thinking about starting a at home daycare how would I begin doing do? I know its sorta a long process so where would I begin. I am in California. Thanks

forgot he actual website name but yahoo sear california child care requirements. when you find the site they will let you know where the classes are located in your area. you will have to take a 1 day 8hr class. they will provide you with the paperwork to apply for your license. then you take the cpr class and get fingerprinted. every adult living in the house where the daycare will be has to be fingerprinted. every adult will also be run though the national database for sex offenders. you will then get your license and have your home inspected. it will cost a couple of hundred of dollars to complete the process. the nice thing is is that the first class will provide you with all the paperwork and information on how exactly to proceed with the rest of the requirements. good luck.
