What are some effective fund raising ideas for a day care program?
I work for a day care program. Our budget has been dramatically cut and people are going to be laid off left and right. We need to do some serious fund raising to save this facility. All ideas are welcome!

- what our group did we had a basketball tourament and teams would pay 10.00 per person to play and we also had a bake sale like .50 a pack of cookies, also we took donations, it was free because we asked a church

- The fall is a great time to do a fundraiser with candles. You can take advantage of the fact that almost everyone buys them. We use a company with a simple program with no upfront costs and made a nice profit.
- Are you a For Profit Company or are you a registered tax exempt nonprofit. It makes a difference in what you legally can do to raise money.
