What is the difference between a baby sitter and a day care provider?
Pertaining to state licensing, what qualifies you as a baby sitter, or a day care provider?
Public Comments
- baby sitter u usually dont do everyday and ...you wouldnt normally watch more than 4-5 children a time
- It is different in every state. Go to your state's department of education website for more information. Florida has specific laws about childcare, including education requirements, etc. The big problem with babysitters I think is learning how to claim or report it tax-wise (I just read about that this morning.)
- A babysitter is a temporary solution for care when you cannot take the children with you. Or would like to go out with friends or on a date, a day care provider is usually an everyday person to care for your children for you to work or go to school. it's a bit more extensive care then the temporary care of a babysitter.
