What provisions are made for child care in Calgary or Canada generally?

I am planning to migrate to calgary,Canada and i have a son but plan to have another. Are there any goverment assistance for child care/education. Thanks

  1. Well yes and no. Depending on the age of the child. You can apply for subsidized daycare, if your income is low. In Canada maternity leave is for up to one year. You would receive about 50% of your income for the one year period. As for education, kindergarden through high school are free. Post Secondary education varies in price, but you can apply for student loans through the government or apply for bursaries (money that is not repayed). Does this answer your question?
