How much should I charge for childcare?

I will be providing childcare in my own home, full time, for a 4yr old and occasionally for the 7yr old brother. Most of my childcare experience has been for family and friends, so I don't know how much I should charge. The mother has requested me, and would like to know how much Im asking. She said she is wiling to pay well and would even provide the meals. So, what would be an appropriate price to ask for?

1. Ask around local day cares and then give a lower rate. And you should find out how long they will be with you, are you getting the 7yr old off the bus? I did this and when I took care of the kids from 7am to 5pm, I charge $250 a week, I also took care of the meals and they were in diapers,but then that was me.

3. I there, I don't do daycare myself, but my mother does and I help her out. She charges a flat rate of around 30-35 dollars per kid per day (8+hours). Or you could charge 5-6 dollars per hour.
